I am a psychodynamic psychotherapist based in South East London and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy - BACP. I offer face-to-face counselling sessions in Honor Oak Park, Forest Hill and Peckham and online sessions via zoom throughout the UK.

I also work as an honorary therapist for Mind in South East London.

Starting therapy...

Most of us will at some point in our lives need help to understand our thoughts, feelings, and emotions. At these times it can help to talk to a qualified therapist or counsellor. Making the decision to start therapy might feel easier for some than others, and finding the right therapist is one of the most important aspects of a successful therapy experience.

A good therapeutic experience involves being in a trusting relationship with your therapist. The counselling relationship should be one where you feel safe to explore all of your emotions in a safe, contained and boundaried way. This work, or 'journey', is undertaken with your therapist, and the aim is to facilitate deeper understanding, acceptance, and change.

Each client and their reason for coming to therapy is unique. Our therapy sessions will involve thinking about who you are today, and about how you got here. I can help you to gain a deeper understanding of who you are and what you want, so that you can confidently make the changes to allow you to live a calmer, and more fulfilled life.

Examples of things that people might talk about in therapy:-

  • loss or bereavement

  • life feels difficult

  • unhelpful behaviours or habits

  • unwanted or unhelpful thoughts and feelings

  • relationships

  • feeling overwhelmed

  • addiction

  • trauma/PTSD

  • work related pressures or dilemmas

  • education related pressures or dilemmas

  • racial and cultural identities

  • family relationships

  • sexuality

  • sexual identification

  • gender related topics

  • domestic abuse

  • imposter syndrome

  • social mobility/social class

  • confidence issues

  • anxiety
